Education
The Joshua Independent School District provides outstanding education services to Johnson County. Established in 1903, the district covers 76-square miles. The elementary program includes grades PK-4; intermediate school, 5-6; middle school, 7-8; and high school, 9-12. Curricular offerings include remedial, regular, advanced, and honors. Programs for special populations include At-Risk, Drug-Free, Title I, English as a Second Language, Gifted and Talented, Special Education, and Vocational Education.
Continuing education and certification programs are available through several area colleges and universities such as Hill Junior College, Southwester Adventist University, Tarrant County College, Texas Christian University and Texas Wesleyan Univerisity.
