Spiritual Well-Being

Our Soul Mission
The churches of Elkhorn Valley have a legacy of over 100 years. Lutherans established a foothold in 1869, the Swedish Evangelical church arrived in 1871, Methodists came in 1872, and the Catholics joined the community in 1885. New immigrants added spiritual diversity. Historically, the entire area has a steadfast core of faith, embodied by its many congregations.

Today, houses of worship represent all major denominations, and their meeting facilities and schools are located throughout the Elkhorn Valley. They welcome newcomers, offer regular services and provide religious education to all. In addition, church leadership and members offer charitable and volunteer assistance to those in need. Faith remains strong in the area, and our churches demonstrate commitment and cooperation, both to many community projects, and to working hard for the betterment of all people in the Elkhorn Valley.
