Community Events
Each year in June on the Saturday before Father’s Day, the Village of Lake in the Hills hosts the Lake in the Hills Air Expo at the airport. This event includes an air show, parade, food booths, entertainment and fireworks.

The Annual Founders’ Days Festival is held on the last full weekend of July in the Village of Algonquin, and the Annual Summer Sunset Festival is held over Labor Day weekend in the Village of Lake in the Hills. Both festivals feature four full days of activities – including children’s activities, a parade, a beer garden, a food court, entertainment, a carnival, a craft fair, fireworks and more
