More than 20 parks of vibrant natural beauty are located throughout Algonquin and Lake in the Hills. Stables, marinas, camping and golf are available and bicycle enthusiasts can ride the Prairie Trail Bicycle Path north to Crystal Lake or south all the way to Geneva. Nature lovers hike and catch glimpses of endangered species and other animals at the Spring Hill Fen (a 260-acre preserve) in Lake in the Hills. For several weeks each summer, the Village of Algonquin presents “Concerts in the Park” in the Gazebo at scenic Riverfront Park.
